Front Porch Music is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Lafayette, California, dedicated to supporting adult musicians and emerging artists. We carry out our mission through a variety of programs, including open mic nights and affordable public performances in partnership with regional venues such as Town Hall Theatre, Don Tatzin Community Hall, the Big Room at Lamorinda Music, and both Marion Hall and the Oak Grove at Lafayette Christian Church (with no specific religious affiliation). We also host songwriter sessions on the Town Hall Theatre stage in collaboration with West Coast Songwriters. Additionally, we run a gift guitar program in partnership with Youth Homes and generous instrument donors. This year, thanks to a grant from the California Arts Council, we’re excited to launch Front Porch Connects — an online platform offering networking and volunteer opportunities designed to strengthen connections between local musicians and community partners.
